Synopsis

Birdboy and Dinky are two teenagers who have decided to escape from an island devastated by ecological catastrophe: Birdboy by shutting himself off from the world, Dinky by setting out a dangerous journey with the hope that Birdboy will accompany her.

Director's BIO

Alberto Vázquez (A Coruña, Spain, 1980)
Animation director, illustrator and cartoonist. His books and comics have been published in countries like Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. He has written and directed short animation as "Birdboy" and "Unicorn blood" based in his comics. His work has been nominated on two occasions for the Goya Awards, winning the Goya Best Animated Short Film in 2012. He has won over 60 awards in international festivals and his works have been exhibited in prestigious festivals worldwide as Annecy, Clermond-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb or Slamdance. He just finished his first feature film "Psiconautas, the forgotten children”, co-directed with Pedro Rivero, based on the graphic novel of the same name by the own Vázquez.
