In 2008, the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” (NATFA) celebrated its 60th anniversary. It started as a two-year school of theatre at the National Theater “Ivan Vazov” and in 1948 developed into the first Bulgarian State Higher School of Theater.

Culture Institute Iskar
The house of culture "Iskar" is a municipal institute that for more than 60 years has been producing and spreading the attainments of Bulgarian and world culture. It develops different forms of dialogue and gives good conditions for inclusion of new audiences. Its activities facilitate the forming up the modern vision of Sofia as a dynamic and creative laboratory.
