Director's BIO
Two very important things happened to Hoku Uchiyama while he was studying at Art Centre College of Design, Pasadena: he won a Cannes Young Director Award, and he met fellow director and creative soulmate Adam Bolt.
The duo came to light after the Webby Award nomination of their 2011 music video for Evelyn Evelyn’s Have You Seen My Sister Evelyn? and went on to enhance their reputation for clever, quirky and technical pieces. They have since directed award-winning spots for Wilkinson Sword, where they manipulated moustaches and beards through stop frame animation, and Youtube’s 10th anniversary film, utilising 18 different styles of animation.Contacts
