BIOGRAPHY
Andronika Màrtonova is a filmcritic, researcher and university`s educator in Asian cinema. She is Associated professor, PhD in Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Institute of Art Studies (www.artstudies.bg), Screen Art Department. Màrtonova writes as film critic in the online edition “Glasove” (www.glasove.com). She is author of numerous critical and scientific publications on the field of Asian cinema. As a teacher Màrtonova is a guest-lecturer at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts /NATFA/ and at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Center for East Languages and Cultures. Her main courses are “Aesthetics and History of Asian Cinema”and “Visual culture of East and Southeast Asia”. As a film critic she was a jury member of numerous international film festivals – in Warsaw (Poland), Bangkok (Thailand), Brisbane (Australia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Bitola (Macedonia), Kochin (India). Member of FIPRESCI, NETPAC – Network for promotion of Asian cinema, UBF – film critics section and Union of Bulgarian journalist – cinema section.Màrtonova is a winner of several awards for excellenceand high achievements in film studies research.
